Inside the Build with Aaron Boss

Take a closer look at one of the most talked-about builds from Born-Free 15—Aaron Boss’s jaw-dropping single-seater race car. Powered by a supercharged Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight engine, this custom creation is a masterful example of innovative engineering. The 2023 M8 engine, sourced from a Road Glide ST, churns out an impressive 200 horsepower. Boss’s goal? To push the limits at the Bonneville Salt Flats, with a top-speed target of 249 mph.

The all-black beauty rides on a custom-built chassis with advanced suspension systems, including a sprint car-inspired rear suspension with torsion bars. From Harley-Davidson stock side panels to gauge clusters and mirrors, Boss’s attention to detail is unmatched, blending motorcycle DNA into a four-wheeled masterpiece. The vehicle’s debut at Born-Free 15 turned heads and sparked conversations about the future of custom fabrication.

Welcome Back, Adam!

We’re excited to welcome back a familiar face to the BAKER Drivetrain family — Adam Heins! Adam joins us as our newest purchasing and logistics manager and is already making an impact in the shop.

This isn’t Adam’s first ride with BAKER. From 2012 to 2016, he was a key part of our warehouse and sales teams before taking an 8-year journey to explore other industries and broaden his experience. But Adam’s connection to BAKER Drivetrain goes even deeper — he’s one of Bert and Lisa’s kids! He’s been around BAKER Drivetrain since the very beginning, watching the business grow from the basement of his childhood home to the powerhouse it is today. Now, he’s back and ready to shift into high gear.

Adam’s passion extends beyond the shop floor. He’s a dedicated sports enthusiast and loves supporting his kids’ extracurricular activities. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in business management — knowledge he’s already putting to work as he helps keep BAKER running smoothly.

Please join us in giving Adam a warm welcome back to the team. We’re thrilled to have him as our newest BAKER Gearhead and look forward to the road ahead together!
