Speedometer Recalibration Unit

Starting in 1994, the factory started using electronic speedos on some of the models. Today, all models use this. If you are changing the transmission pulley, rear wheel pulley, rear tire or installing one of our transmissions, you will need a recal box.

I installed one of these in 2003 on my build with an OD6 speed builders kit. This unit is still in good order on the bike and I still ride it.

A needed extra

Installed a direct drive 6 speed in my wifes 2002 Heritage Softail. We do a lot of long trips and the 6 speed was the answer. Drops rpm in 6th around 700 rpm. But an ubdocumented feature is the need for recalibration. Bought the module had it I stalled in 10 min. Fired up google maps hit 60mph ans recaled speedo on the move in less than 5 min. Matches gps exactly

We have used this unit before. It is easy to install, and it works every time. Here at Johnny D's Cycles, we recommend this product when ever you are upgrading from a 5 speed to a Baker 6. Works like a charm.
