BAKER Drivetrain unveils the final solution to the late model compensator problems. The new BAKER Drivetrain compensator sprocket is engineered with an annular oil distribution system that scavenges primary oil and pumps it with centrifugal force to all radial and axial thrust surfaces. English translation: This sprocket delivers quiet operation, relentless durability, and refined function to smooth out the inherent power pulsations of the second-generation Twin Cam and M8 motors.

o Compensating Sprocket currently does not fit Softails with
wide rear tires (IE: 240 Rear tire Fat Boy® & Breakout®)
For 2007 to 2010 Big Twin: The customer will need a HD rotor to install the BAKER compensating sprocket. For a 2006 Dyna, the customer will need a HD rotor and stator. For 2011 Big Twin models, if the stock spring cup is welded onto the stock rotor, a new HD rotor will be needed in order to install the BAKER compensating sprocket. HD rotors and stators are available for purchase from BAKER Drivetrain or your local HD dealer. (Rotor PN 30041-08)
Inspect the inside of the outer primary for a plastic oil deflector or casted in oil deflector. The plastic deflector needs to be removed for adequate clearance for the BAKER Compensator Sprocket Kit. If the deflector is casted into the inner primary; this area needs to be ground out using a small air die grinder or equivalent for proper clearance.
For 2007 to 2010 Big Twin: The customer will need a HD rotor to install the BAKER compensating sprocket. For a 2006 Dyna, the customer will need a HD rotor and stator. LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY
BAKER™ transmission assemblies, transmission kits, primaries, and oil pans are guaranteed to the original purchaser to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase or up to 50,000 miles. BAKER™ clutches, kicker cover kits, belt drives, F6F kit, reverse systems, covers and accessories are guaranteed to the original purchaser to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase or up to 24,000 miles - whichever occurs first. If the product is found by BAKER™ to be defective, such products will, at the option of BAKER™, be replaced or repaired at cost to BAKER™.
In the event warranty service is required, the original purchaser must call or write BAKER™ immediately with a description of the problem. If it is deemed necessary for BAKER™ to make an evaluation to determine whether the transmission assembly or transmission kit or accessory is defective, the entire transmission assembly, whether originally purchased as an assembly or kit, must be properly packaged and returned prepaid to BAKER™ with a copy of the original invoice of purchase. If after an evaluation has been made by BAKER™ and a defect in materials and/or workmanship is found, BAKER™ will, at BAKER™ option, repair or replace the defective part of the assembly.
WARRANTIES FOR "INSIDER SPECIAL" PRODUCTS
Due to the uniqueness, low price and assembly outside of typical production process of products indicated as Insider Special products, purchasing these Insider Special products include a warranty so to guarantee the original purchaser to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase or up to 12,000 miles. We have provided extended options for you to purchase below.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Any merchandise returned for any reason (exchange, credit or modification) must be accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number or it will be refused. Call BAKER™ to obtain this number prior to returning goods for any reason. There is a 15% re-stocking fee for all returned items. BAKER™ is not liable for any shipping charges.
ADDITIONAL WARRANTY PROVISIONS
NOTE: Limited warranty does not cover labor or other costs or expenses incidental to the repair and or replacement of BAKER™ products.
This warranty does not apply if one or more of the following situations is judged by BAKER™ to be relevant: BAKER™ OEM transmissions; (these are subject to the OEM manufactures warranty only), Improper installation, accident, modification (including but not limited to use of unauthorized parts, transmission oils or lubricants), racing, high performance application, mishandling, misapplication, neglect (including but not limited to improper maintenance), or improper repair.
BAKER™ shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages arising out of or in connection with a BAKER™ transmission assembly, transmission kit, component or part. Consequential damages shall include without limitation, loss of use, income or profit, or losses sustained as the result of injury (including death) to any person or loss of or damage to property.
BAKER™ transmissions, transmission kits and accessories are designed exclusively for use in American V-Twin motorcycles. BAKER™ shall have no warranty or liability obligation if BAKER™ parts are used in any other application.
If it is determined that a BAKER™ product has been disassembled during the warranty period for any reason, this limited warranty will no longer apply unless you were instructed to do so by a BAKER Drivetrain technician for diagnostic purposes.

It run smooth in lower than 1500rpm and very quiet.
Bought this a couple months back but still snow where I live till April at least, I hope this design lasts. This is my second baker comp, last one had about 6000 miles in 4 years on a show bike (6 months out of the year at least I am not riding due to snow and in 2020 I didn't ride the bike). The previous version has massive amounts of wear on the ramps and galling on the bushing. It was starving for oil because of the design reason why Baker discontinued it. I buy Spectro oil in Sturgis from Baker every year and use that in the primary. Noticed the wear as I was removing the primary to put on a Baker trans lever. After being passed around and lots of delays by email and phone from Baker, it became clear they were not going to make this right, or attempt to at least a bit. Baker didn't stand behind the previous version due to the warranty period, I get it... warranty is not forever. Here is my issue: 4 years or 6 months, the design was poor and it was like that very early on plus with our long winters here not much actual riding time was on the comp. From the time I first bought it just like the new one, buying in the late fall 6 months passes before it even spins. When I first contacted Baker about it I was told I didn't use assembly lube and that it why it had excessive wear and galling (I sent them pictures). lol. Honestly, yes that I why the ramps were destroyed and the galling. Btw, assemble lubed was used plus the primary oil immediately would have been all over this at first start. I asked them to meet me half way on a new one, answer was no. I then asked for a break on the shipping, no to that also. Being in Canada and with the exchange rate ( add on 30% to the cost of the comp) and the 3X the shipping price this is a major investment. There was no gesture that the previous version had issues but there was a Baker sticker for me in the box. ;) If Burt or anyone there would have spoke to me and said "hey we have had some issues with the design, thanks for hanging in there with us" or acknowledgement of the low miles that would have gone a long way. You can't claim to be the "DriveTrain authority" or "hellbent on engineering" when you won't step up to a design flaw of a product or assist in any little way to get a returning customer in to some new hardware. Not one bit was given from Baker on the issue, that says a lot. I am hopeful this last iteration of the comp will do what they say.
Easy install , looks solid , haven't ran it much as we are in "Winter Mode " but I'm sure it will be great , also added a Moonshine HD primary tensioner , and looking at the rekluse clutch later down the road Cheers from Newfoundland canada :)
I bought the comp sprocket and the manual primary adjuster for my 2017 Electra Glide, they went in and fit perfectly.
My Harley is in winter storage now, so I haven’t installed and tried it yet. Have to wait until the spring, but it seems like a well made compensator.
